Hot Alpha meets Sassy Songbird

I went into this book blind, but since I am hooked on everything that Harper Sloan writes and the fact that it is a rock star read, I knew it was going to blow my little mind.

Loaded Replay is a new spin-off series. We first got a glimpse of Chance as well as Loaded Replay in the Hope Town series.

Wrenlee Davenport along with her twin brother Weston and their two best friends, Luke and Jamison, make up the hot band Loaded Replay. Chance Nash is head of personal security at Corps Security and as with all the boys from Corps Security, Chase is all alpha male and sinfully yummy.

Ms. Sloan so thoroughly drew me into this story, I felt an instant connection to the characters. I absolutely got lost in this book and couldn’t put it down.

Chance continues to blame himself for things in his past that were out of his control and realizes he needs a change of pace. So when he’s asked to be in charge of security for Loaded Repay due to some incidences involving over exuberant fans and a stalker, he jumps at the chance. Although this job could prove to be a challenge all on its own. Wrenlee Davenport has owned his heart from the moment he set eyes on her three years ago at one of her concerts, but will she feel the same connection he feels?

Wrenlee, the lead singer of the award-winning band Loaded Replay, didn’t expect quite the notoriety that comes with being on top and is left feeling exhausted and like she’s living her life in a fish bowl.

“People never realize what might look perfect from the outside could really be a prison without bars.”

After a string of failed romances, the last one ending three years earlier, she is reluctant to let anyone but her bandmates get close. Until she meets Chance Nash. Wren is a little rough around the edges but has a heart of gold. She is sassy, spirited and fiercely loyal to those she loves. Everyone wants a piece of her, except Chance. She wants to be with him, he’s the first man who loves her and not just the persona, the sexy singer with the body of a saint, of Loaded Replay.

“She’s a goddess. The unattainable one, according to the world that loves them. The woman other females wish to be and the one males crave to be with.”

He fights their connection as long as he can, but there’s no fighting fate and I believe these two were meant for each other. Both their jaded hearts will fit together and make a whole.

“My knight in tarnished armor has finally found his broken princess….”

I loved all the bantering back and forth not only between Wren and Chance, but also with the band. I CANNOT wait for Jamison’s book!

Signing with Brighthouse Records was supposed to be everything we ever wanted—our better life. Our chance at everything we never had but always wanted. All our dreams would finally come true and we were on top of the world. It was our chance at the happiness we never had in life.

Our every desire was at our fingertips and the power of that feeling was all consuming. But then it took every dream we thought would come true and it slapped us in the face with the cold hard reality.

Dreams were just that…something that floated on the cusp of untouchable, taunting you with every graze of your fingertips before slipping even further away.

Happiness…that feeling is a joke.

In the end it became painfully obvious that each of us would always have each other, but we would forever be alone.

*Jaded Hearts is the first book in the Loaded Replay series.*
